I find the idea that we can somehow drop our red line and start NATO bombing sorties without immediately risking a Nuclear response the absolute height of hubris and insanity. It is too late to do this in Ukraine, and winning this wasn't America's highest priority. Our highest priority was protecting our own interests in Ukraine, testing out new weapons technology, shifting the european industrial base places of our benefit, and maybe weakening the Russians in the process - just like we have planned since 2014.
